How do I fix an EGR valve on a 1988 Buick?

I have a 1988 Buick Lesabre that has a couple engine codes. The first one is for a failure of the EGR valve. The second is for the oxygen sensor. According to the guy at AutoZone, if I fix the EGR the oxygen one will go away. Problem is I don't have a Chiltons manual or the specific knowlege to find and fix this. I have mechanic skills just not the book and info.|||Try removing the EGR valve and cleaning it with carb and choke cleaner and q-tips just be very careful not to leave any loose cotton fibers in there. If this does not fix the problem then you will have to replace the whole egr valve.|||really just buy the part and remove couple bolts not really anything to it other than knowing where its at most are easy to get to and you can find most how to repair or replace or install by typing what you want to do like
